Attn: Sec 4 cadets

1. Inter Unit Quiz

Ten of our Sec 4 cadets will be representing our unit in the annual National Inter Unit Quiz Competition. We have been informed that the Preliminary Round for the
NPCC Inter Unit Quiz Competition has been postponed to 6 July 2007, Friday.
The date for the finals will remain as 3 August 2007, Friday.

The reporting time will be from 2.30pm onwards. All participants have to be
seated by 2.50pm. The Competition will start at 3pm sharp.

Area 4, 5 and 13 are to report at the Auditorium, Home Team Academy. You have to bring along their own set of stationery, ie pen, 2B pencil and eraser for shading of the OTAS Sheets.

A consent form will be issued to all participating cadets.

2. CCA Cert

For those of you who have queries regarding your CCA cert, please write down the corrections in your CCA cert and return to me for amendment / verification. Do not worry, this is not your final cert, changes can be made. However, do check through all items carefully before passing your CCA cert to me. Thank you.

Unit Updates!

Dear all,

I hope those of you who have participated in the Race @ Sentosa had a good time. Photos have been uploaded into our photo gallery. Please go in to check it out! Photos taken using Desmond Sir's camera will be uploaded later.

I will like to share with you that we'll have two new CIs joining our Unit. They are your Raymond Sir and Zheng Yang Sir. I will introduce them officially during our next weekly parde. Here is a photo taken of them during their graduation ceremony today:

KCPSS Unit Outing / Amazing Race

The unit outing this Saturday is confirmed. All participating cadets have to bring along your consent form with your parents' signature before you are allowed to join in the unit activity. If you do not have the form, you can download from this site: and print it out.

Attire: NPCC UNIT TEE with SCHOOL PE SHORTS
Kit List: Bring along $3 (Sentosa's entrance fees), writing materials and water bottle!

Sec 1/2 Makeup Parade - 22nd June 2007

There will be a makeup parade this coming Friday. 2 badgework proficency courses will be conducted by your CI Chester.

Please report to CI Chester at 9am in your PT Kit. Do bring along writing materials.

June Holidays Events – Reminder (Updated 20th June)

1. Sec 2 Civil Defence Course – 8th June 2007 (FRIDAY)
All Sec 2s are to report in PT Kit outside the General Office to Mr Lee by 7.45am.
Bring along writing materials.
Please note that transport is only provided one way to the Yishun Civil Defence HQ (533, Yishun Industrial Park A #01-01, S768774).
You can board 811 or 169 to go to Yishun MRT / Interchange and then go home.
Lunch will be provided. You can bring along some money to get drinks or extra food at the canteen. The course is expected to end at 5.30pm.
At the end of the course, you will be awarded the Civil Defence Proficency Badge.

2. Sec 3 CIP – Vibrant Blood Donation Drive Briefing – 9th June 2007 (SATURDAY)
Reporting Time: 10.00am
Reporting Attire: Unit T-shirt with any bottoms (jeans/berms/shorts/skirt)
Reporting Venue: Bloodbank @ HSA
Bloodbank is located opposite the Outram Park EW MRT station.After exiting the station,use the overhead bridge and walk along the covered walkway. The bloodbank can be easily seen. There will be NTU personnel who will be at the station at 0945 on that day to guide the volunteers. Below is the map for your reference.

3. Sec 2 SANA (Anti Drug Abuse) Course – 12th June 2007 (TUESDAY)
All Sec 2s are to report in PT Kit outside Raffles Institution’s General Office to Mr Lee by 8.00am.
Bring along writing materials. Please note that transport is not provided.
Lunch will be provided. The course is expected to end at 5.30pm.
At the end of the course, you will be awarded the SANA Proficency Badge.

4. Sec 1 / New Sec 2s Road Safety Course – 13th June 2007 (WEDNESDAY)
All Sec 1s and new Sec 2s, please report in Full Uniform to Ms Yip by 1.30pm. Those having problems with you Full Uniform are to report in School Uniform.
You will be taking a written MCQ test related to road safety so please bring along a 2B pencil and eraser.
Transport will be provided to and from the Road Safety Park in East Coast Park. We should reach school by 5.30pm.
At the end of the course, you will be awarded the Road Safety Badge which is a compulsory requirement in order for you to pass your LCP test.

5. Sec 3 LMSC – 13th to 15th June 2007 (WEDNESDAY TO FRIDAY)

Combined UG Bowling Competition Finals - 15th June 2007 (Fri) Updated 6th June)

Our 4 teams of bowlers truly enjoyed themselves and performed well during the Preliminary Round of the Combined UG Bowling Compeition on Mon (4th June).

We are happy to share with you that 2 of our teams has got into the Top Ten and will be going for the Finals next Friday! (15th June) The 2 teams comprised of one Boys Team (Bertram Khoo, Glenn Koh & Teo Teng Yew) and one Girls' Team (Priscilla, Saras, Kavitha and Vigneswari).
