Reporting Time & Date: 07:45am - 1230pm, 1st November 2008

Reporting Venue: Guangyang Secondary School Parade Square

Reporting Attire: PT Kit (NPCC Unit Shirt with Track Pants)
*sec 1s who do not have our unit shirt can come in their PE T-shirt with track pants.

Cadets who are taking part in the games are allowed to change into their KCP School Shorts before the games commences.

CIP and RI Inter Unit Carom Competition

Dear all,

Thank you to all who participatd in our unit CIP event on Tuesday and today. I am sure many of you now realise there are many Bishan residents who are willing to work with us to help others. I hope you have benefitted from today's CIP activity where these collections will go on to benefit needy families in Singapore. Well done to all of you! Photos will be uploaded soon.

Today we also sent 4 sec ones to particpate in RI's Inter Unit Carom Competition and we are happy to share with you that one of our teams - Kishen and Praveen came in Second! Congraluations! Cantona and Ernest also did very well. We will present the prizes to the 4 of them when school reopens.

In addition, the Kunming Trip team will be leaving to do community work in Kunming, China on Monday. 10 of our cadets are going and please keep us in your prayers!

Looking forward to hearing success stories from the upcoming Area Games Day at Guangyang Secondary School on 1st November (Sat) although I will not be around. Mr Lee will be rooting for all of you on my behalf!

Last year we won prizes in Soccer, Floorball, Badminton and Air Rifle.

This year, I hope that more prizes can be won! We have 7 openings for Frisbee (new this year), 7 openings for Floorball, 2 openings for Carom, 4 openings for Air Rifle, 7 openings for Netball, 3 openings for Basketball and 7 openings for Volleyball.

If you are interested to be part of the team, please contact your NCOs or your CIs as soon as possible as we need to register the teams. If you do not have their contact numbers, you can email CI Raymond at ray07foo931@hotmail.com for more information or to register.

We will need everyone's support on that day! Remember that representing the school for this annual event will help you clock CCA points too. And if you win, you will clock points under acheivements category.

Last Parades for the year / Area Games Day/Promotion Tests / Unit Outing

Dear All,

Please take note of the following:

1. Last 2 parades of the year
This coming Friday - 17th Oct
Next Friday - 24th Oct

The purpose of these 2 parades are to train up for the upcoming LCP/SGT/SSGT promotion tests in mid Nov... so it's impt not to miss the parades!

2. Area 4 Games Day
Date: 1st Nov (Sat)
Venue: Guangyang Secondary School
Details: To be released during parade this Friday..

3. Promotion Tests
Mid Novemeber - Dates to be finalised soon

4. Unit Outing
Date: 15th Nov
Day: Sat
Time: 9.00am - 12.00noon
Attire: Unit Tee + shorts/berms
Venue: Southern Ridges Walk

Sec 2s Extra Training

Attn: ALL SEC 2s

The extra training tommorow will be cancelled as Chester have got last minute lesson in school.

Sec 2 Cadets Extra Training

ATTN: ALL Secondary 2 Cadets

There will be 3 extra trainings conducted by your Chester sir on the 9th, 14th and 21st of October.

The objective of these 3 trainings will be to prepare your for your upcoming LCP / CPL Promotion Test. You are encouraged to attend these 3 trainings as it will be beneficial for your learning.

The training details are as follow.

Training 1 (Campcraft) - 9th October
Attire: NPCC Unit Tee with school uniform shorts / skirt
Time: 0200pm - 0600pm
Objective: Teach the 5 advance knots, revise on 5 lashings and 8 basic knots.
*please bring along your CPL and your LCP training manual.

Training 2 (Drills) - 14th October
Attire: Full - Uniform
Time: 0200pm - 0600pm
Objective: Revise and improve drill standard for CPL Drills. Standardize Uniform.

Training 3 - details will be announced at a later date.
