Details about the following competitions will be put on our Unit Notice Board. Please refer to the notice board for more details.

1. MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (MHA) ART COMPETITION
This competition is held in conjunction with the 2006 Homefront Security Month. Through art, participants can share with all Smgaporeans the different ways of staying prepared for emergencies and what Homefront Security Month means to different
individuals.

All participants will get a certificate ofparticipation. In addition, schools and participants stand to win the following cash vouchers:
First Prize: $600
Second Prize: $400
Third Prize: $300
Five Merit Prizes: $100 each
School that produces the first prize winner: $500
School with the most number of entries: $500

The deadline for all submissions is Wednesday, 23 August 2006, 3.OOpm.

2. RI Inter-Unit Graffiti Art Competition
The event will be held on Friday, 15th September from 2.30 pm to 6.00 pm in Raffles Institution.

They aim to have 10 schools join the event, where each school will send in 4 cadets from any level to represent their schools in the event. The event will consist of one round where the team will be given one and a half hours to spray paint something which displays their views of a virtue that all NPCC cadets should possess.

Prizes will be given to the top three teams, which include trophies for the top three teams.

Gameplay format:

Each team can choose one or more of these themes to paint :

• Discipline
• Responsibility
• Leadership
• Friendship
• Respect
• Commitment
• Service
• Unity

Each team will be given approximately one and a half hours with a short rest of 15 minutes in between. Before the competition starts, each team will be given 10 minutes to discuss their design, then spray paint it.

Rules

Cannot spray anywhere else except on the plywood board and the newspaper spread surface

Teams must adhere to time limit
