Sec 2 Community Safety and Security Proficency (CSSP) Badge project
Dear Sec 2s,
As mentioned previously, you will have to complete a CSSP project in order to get your CSSP badge.
In groups of 4, you must submit a proposl that will help to solve school safety or security issues. For example, discuss a way to cut down loss of handphones / bags in the school, how to prevent outsiders from entering the school, how to reduce vandalism etc.
It's up to you to decide what are the areas of concern for the school.
There is a standard proposal and report that you have to complete. I have printed ten copies of the document and placed it in my pigeon hole. If you need a soft copy, please get your group later to drop a email to me at yip_siew_min@kcpss.moe.edu.sg so that I can send you a soft copy. But please note that I will be away overseas from 7th Dec onwards, so email me before that. Thanks.
Please submit the soft or hard copies to me by 21st December so that I have time to grade it and submit to HQ to get your badges.
Thank you.

Ms Yip

Dear all,
Thank you to all who participatd in our unit CIP event on Tuesday and today. I am sure many of you now realise there are many Bishan residents who are willing to work with us to help others. I hope you have benefitted from today's CIP activity where these collections will go on to benefit needy families in Singapore. Well done to all of you! Photos will be uploaded soon.
Today we also sent 4 sec ones to particpate in RI's Inter Unit Carom Competition and we are happy to share with you that one of our teams - Kishen and Praveen came in Second! Congraluations! Cantona and Ernest also did very well. We will present the prizes to the 4 of them when school reopens.
In addition, the Kunming Trip team will be leaving to do community work in Kunming, China on Monday. 10 of our cadets are going and please keep us in your prayers!
Looking forward to hearing success stories from the upcoming Area Games Day at Guangyang Secondary School on 1st November (Sat) although I will not be around. Mr Lee will be rooting for all of you on my behalf!
Last year we won prizes in Soccer, Floorball, Badminton and Air Rifle.
This year, I hope that more prizes can be won! We have 7 openings for Frisbee (new this year), 7 openings for Floorball, 2 openings for Carom, 4 openings for Air Rifle, 7 openings for Netball, 3 openings for Basketball and 7 openings for Volleyball.
If you are interested to be part of the team, please contact your NCOs or your CIs as soon as possible as we need to register the teams. If you do not have their contact numbers, you can email CI Raymond at ray07foo931@hotmail.com for more information or to register.
We will need everyone's support on that day! Remember that representing the school for this annual event will help you clock CCA points too. And if you win, you will clock points under acheivements category.
Thank you.
