Corporal Promotion Test Criteria

Cadets will be tested on:

1. Campcraft
o Practical
 Knots
• 8 basic knots
• Chain Knot
• Timber Hitch
 Lashing
• Square Lashing
• Diagonal Lashing
• Round Lashing
o Theory:
 Knots
• Know the uses of Chain Knot and Timber Hitch
 Lashings
• Know the uses of Square, Diagonal, Gyn, Round and Shear Lashings
 Tent Pitching
• Know the parts of the 4-Man Tent
• Know how to select a site to pitch a tent
• Know what is the recommended pitching procedure

2. Drills
o All are to be able to perform:
 All drills that were covered in Lance Corporal
 Sizing Drills
 Marching Drills
 Marching Drills Movement
 Weaponry Drills with Baton
o Word of Command
o Method of Instruction

3. Uniform
